Tour of California

The Amgen Tour of California bike race will be held on the streets of Long Beach on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Event times are 12:40 PM – 3:45 PM. Below you will find the list of street closures required to host the Tour of California, with a map on the reserve side.

No Parking for Sunday, May 13 will begin at 9:00 AM along the below route and select side streets.

Vehicles will not have inbound access during the above closure times. Limited outbound traffic on the course will be available intermittently. Please follow the direction of Long Beach Police Officers and Tour of California officials when attempting to exit. We would ask to please leave before or after the closure to ensure the safety of participants and the public.

The following streets will allow vehicles to cross the route in both directions:
Ocean Blvd. & Linden Ave.
Broadway & Cherry Ave.
Broadway & Junipero Ave.

Following streets will allow northbound (outbound) traffic only during the race:
Ocean Blvd. & Atlantic Ave.
Ocean Blvd. & Bonito Ave.
Ocean Blvd & Orange Ave.
Ocean Blvd. & Hermosa Ave.
Ocean Blvd. & Kennebec Ave.
Ocean Blvd. & Loma Ave.

Additional outbound streets:
Bermuda St. – Exit north on Junipero Ave. to 4th
Florida St.– Exit south on Cherry Ave. to 3rd St.
Appleton St. – Exit north on Cherry Ave to Lowena Dr. to 3rd St.

In addition, residents may leave their vehicles in the Junipero Beach, Belmont Pool and Granada Beach parking lots free of charge during the Sunday closures, however, in/out access will not be available at the Junipero Beach parking lot during the race.

A copy will be emailed to the "contact email address" supplied in the form. All and any changes, which need to be made to a film application must be done through the office of Special Events and Filming. 

If you have more than three locations, please fill out an additional application (no additional charge). Changes to Permit are Subject to a $53 Rider Fee Charge Per Change. ALL AND ANY CHANGES, WHICH NEED TO BE MADE TO A FILM APPLICATION MUST BE DONE THROUGH THE LONG BEACH FILM OFFICE. What is an Occasional Event?

An OEP is required to ensure the public safety and welfare, and to provide adequate control of the occasional events on private property. OEP's minimize the impact of the occasional event to the surrounding neighborhood. The Occasional Event Permit may only be issued for a premises, location, or physical address with an existing and current Business License with the City. Permits can only be issued a maximum of twenty-four (24) times in a twelve (12) month period and must be spaced at least ten (10) days apart per location.

In no event shall the issuance of an Occasional Event Permit be construed as permission to disturb the peace.
